There are really only 5 things you need to know about me: 1. When I was 8-years old, I took second place in the Utah State Future Problem Solvers competition as an individual competitor. The competition required a brainstorm and identification of the problems around identity management - that was the day I became a technologist. 2. Ive helped over 100 businesses of varying sizes and industries improve the effectiveness of their cybersecurity programs by combining technical knowledge with business acumen and using a consultative approach. 3. I am a compliance nerd. Ive spent hundreds of hours studying the ins and outs of frameworks like NIST (CSF, RMF, 800-53, 800-171), ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, SOC, and NYDFS - all because I love translating guidance into actionable controls for security posture improvement. 4. Even though Ive been present in the technology and security world for over a decade, Im still a student finishing my BSCSIA in early 2024. I chose to formalize my knowledge because I desire to have a holistic knowledge of all sides of security. 5. I have served on the boards of 2 non-profits actively advancing cybersecurity and technology profession for women. From hosting CTFs, to fundraising for STEM organizations, I am committed to growing the cyber pipeline.
