Incorporate in 1781, the Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) is the oldest continuously operating state medical association in the United States. MMS is the owner and publisher of the New England Journal of Medicine which is the most widely read and cited medical journal in the world.
The MMS IT Committee identifies and evaluates major trends in Information Technology that impact medical practice including policy, education, devices, guidelines, regulations, and laws. The committee makes recommendations to the Board of Trustees, the House of Delegates, and membership on responses to the trends with the goal of being proactive.

This campus’ specialized services include Audiology services, Ambulatory Day surgery, CAT scanning, MRI, PET, specialized aphasia treatment, and an eye center providing argon laser therapy of retino-vascular diseases, CO2 and Yag laser treatment of cancer, Argon and Yag laser treatment of eye diseases, and vitrectomy.
Medical and mental health services located at this campus also include substance abuse, neuropsychology, and the only radiation oncology VA program in the region.
This campus is home to the Behavioral Science and Women’s Health Sciences Divisions of the National Center for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
