Project Sr. Manager – milCloud 2.0

The multi-year $500 million milCloud 2.0 project is a multi-year project to offer a commercial cloud service model to the DoD. I am responsible for overseeing and managing the 24x7x365 operational aspects of the IT operations team and serving as a liaison between project management and planning, the project team, and line management. The Operations Manager reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. I will be providing guidance and training to less experienced personnel.
iGov
Program Manager - COC
Aug 2009 - Dec 2017

I came to iGov originally as the Portfolio Training Manager for an interesting project involving cross platform integration training. While at iGov, I have had increasing levels of responsibility; and in 2 ½ years moved from a $700K to a $100 Million project.

The Portfolio Training project was interesting as it involved an investigation and needs analysis, a full curriculum audit, and design of a training program. I led my team through the investigation, needs analysis, reporting on the need for training to fill knowledge gaps across the Family of Systems (FOS), to the construction of a proposed curriculum based on the skills assessment from our investigation. Through the full project management lifecycle methodologies, I was able to complete this mission successfully. This project led to the implementation of an interoperability training course for the SOCOM FOS.

In August of 2010, I became the Operations Manager for a US Marine Corps (USMC) contract involving the engineering and production of a tactical virtual hosting platform. During this $20 Million integration project, I coordinated a cross-functional team that included personnel from engineering, finance, program management, logistics and training. I helped direct the project end to end from engineering design and refinement all the way to delivery of 74 platforms. The project was completed successfully, resulting in a considerable profit.

In June of 2012, I was promoted to Deputy Program Manager of Operations for the USMC Command Operations Center (COC) contract; then in February 2013 I became the Program Manager. This is a $100 Million project to modernize the tactical IT infrastructure for the Marine Corps primary mobile command center. This project involves an aggressive engineering and initial production schedule requiring the setup of policies, procedures and infrastructure for up to 48 team members in a short period of time and coordination of cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
