Sheri Williams Owner at Animal T.A.I.L.

Sheri Williams is a highly experienced and certified dog trainer/behaviorist with almost 21 years of expertise in assisting individuals with their dog-related issues and solving them one dog at a time. However, Sheri's efforts have now extended beyond helping dogs in crisis to also aiding people in crisis. Sheri developed a groundbreaking program called Animal Therapists Assisting In Living (ANIMAL T.A.I.L.), which is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing unwanted animals from local shelters, rehabilitating and training them as Animal Assisted Therapists or Service Dogs, and placing them in the hands of those who desperately need and want them.

Since 2013, Sheri has been the owner of Animal T.A.I.L., where she has been working tirelessly with veterans suffering from PTSD and/or TBI to teach them how to turn their dogs or a dog they choose from Best Friends Animal Society into their own Service Dog or Emotional Support Animal. Collaborating with VA Centers and the VA Hospital of Los Angeles, Sheri's program provides the necessary training to help these veterans cope with the internal scars of war. With her certification as a dog trainer/behaviorist from the Animal Behavior and Training Association and an associate's degree in General Studies from Orange Coast College, Sheri brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a compassionate owner of Animal T.A.I.L.. Her skills in teaching and her dedication to enriching the lives of both animals and individuals make her an exceptional leader in the field.

Summary
Hi, my name is Sheri Williams. I am and have been a Certified Dog Trainer/Behaviorist for almost 21 years, helping people to solve their dog issue, one dog at a time. I am now refocusing my efforts to not only help dogs in crisis, but also to save people in crisis. I developed a new program to start helping to resolve these issues. Its called Animal Therapists Assisting In Living or ANIMAL T.A.I.L.( a non-profit organization). This program takes unwanted animals from local shelters, rehabs and trains them as Animal Assisted Therapists or Service Dogs and places them into the hands of those who desperately need and want them. It is my goal to not only help save all the throw away animals in the County Shelters, but to enrich the lives and give back hope, to any man, woman, or child, in need of these services. Animal T.A.I.L. is currently in phase one where we are working with Veterans with PTSD and/or TBI, and teaching them how to turn their dogs or a dog they choose from Best Friends Animal Society, into their Service Dog or Emotional Support Animal to help cope with their disability. There is no cost to the Veteran. The only requirement is to aid, assist, train, and care for the animal they bring, and this unique program shows them how to do it.
